Hello, this is Victor Wang and Jonathan Gearheart.

We are the owners of Bushido Ramen Shop, Kettering’s first Japanese ramen shop.

Bushido Ramen opened its doors in May 2025 to share the flavors and traditions of authentic, and handcrafted Japanese ramen with our community. [Click here to see our local media feature]

At Bushido Ramen, we handcraft our noodles, broths, and appetizers from scratch.

This level of craftsmanship is rare in our area, and we are proud to bring something truly special to Kettering.

But this is only the beginning.

Now that we are open, we want to take the next step.

We want to bring Japan to Kettering.

Our Vision

This crowdfunding campaign will help us expand and introduce even more authentic Japanese culinary experiences to our community.

From special ramen creations with guest chefs from Japan to exclusive dining events and true Japanese food experiences, we want to create something that Kettering has never seen before.

Let me share a real example of the kind of experience I hope to bring to our community.

KC Craft Ramen, our mentor Ken’s restaurant in Kansas, regularly invites guest chefs from Japan every 3 months.

These guest chefs create special menus and dining events,

giving local guests the chance to experience the most authentic Japanese cuisine and culture firsthand.

Their customers get to enjoy a true slice of Japan without ever leaving their town.

We’ve personally witnessed how much people love and appreciate these experiences at KC Craft Ramen, and it inspired us deeply.

That is why we are determined to bring the same kind of authentic Japanese culinary experiences to our community here in Kettering.
